Description

This is a remake of sorts for a much older image of mine, where an early version of this character was shown on a snowy path flanked by light posts. It is heartening how much I've improved since then. A big thanks to everyone who helped me with this one on the Ebony Keep critique forum.

"Mik and his tiger have followed Lamppost Way for days. With every tiger's stride they've come higher and higher, now they are above the world they know with only the thinnest of air between themselves and the stars. They seem to be traveling in a spiral following the Way and the magic globe of spring."

I love this, it's so pretty. Nice try in rendering a tiger, they seem pretty difficult to do. The details on the face are pretty nice too! Good work!

Looks to me you've really put some time and effort into this one, the fur on the tiger is fantastic work, I think if it was just the tiger by himself it would be a classic. +6

Literally breathtaking. The person and the various light-sources are flawless, perfect, photorealistic, or better- luminous art that makes someone stop everything, even breathing, for at least a moment. I think you may need some reference images for the snow, though, it looks a bit 2d. The description (which is also gracefully-crafted) describes them walking uphill, but in the picture, they're clearly walking downhill...?
