Description

I'd been wanting to do a wizard and owls for the longest time, but couldn't come up with a working composition for them. This image was actually inspired by a slew of photos I found online in my never ending Google Images search for things that are "snowy." These particular photos were of a house (I think) that was rather castle-like. The clam snowy atmosphere made me want to paint. The above image is the result. I'm glad I decided to add the message-bags to the owls because they helped give this painting a decidedly more fantasy feel.
